Europe Post #5: Nuremberg

Our last day on the river boat, which due to river flooding turned into a night at the Nuremberg Hilton (hey, it was nice – I won’t complain!) was spent in Nuremberg.  As many of you know, Nuremberg has a rich history, dating back to middle ages, with the beautiful Castle on the hill that houses an incredible arms museum.  And also, with the Nazi regime taking over Nuremberg fairly early on in WWII, there is definite damage and reconstruction as a result of the warfare that happened in the town.  But, while there is a gloomy overshadow, the beautiful city still holds its own.  We also indulged in traditional German fare.
