A double shift.

Last night was a good night.  After having been pulled through the work drama (I can’t talk about it on the blog — but trust me there has been lots of it), being on-the-go for a few days, seeing old friends and catching up (and therefore getting little sleep), I was finally able to get back on track and hit the gym yesterday.

I ran the 1.5 miles to the gym, and then hit the crosstrainer for 35 minutes.  I then pumped iron (yes I pumped yesterday) for about 15-20 minutes, and then walked back home for a cool down.

I had never run in the rain before, and yesterday during my run to the gym it was lightly raining — and I actually enjoyed it!  I was quite surprised.  I may be making this a regular habit.

After the gym, I chowed down on a wrap with TJ’s guacamole hummus (this is seriously incredible.  If you like hummus and guac, you should probably try it.  stat.) with Italian Chicken sausauge and sauteed mushrooms and onions.  And some TJ’s Soy Creamy.  And some salad.  But not in that order.  I was hangry.

Then this morning, I woke up and had some protein cereal, and ran off to work (and by ran off, I mean took the El).  Where, once I got downtown, my roommate called me, and had locked herself out.  So I got back on the El and went back home and then turned around and came back downtown.  So I’ve technically come to work 2x before 10am.  Shoot me.  I was on the El for about 2 1/2 hours.  Way too long.

And now I should probably work.  While munching on an apple.
